Calling all creative minds! Are you interested in presenting a workshop or submitting an art piece for the annual Women & Gender Equity in Leadership Summit? We are seeking workshop proposals and artwork from students, faculty, and staff that will contribute to an array of dialogic sessions and skill-based workshops that aim to empower, advocate, and develop a more just understanding of inequities that affect women and gender-expansive individuals.
This year's theme is: Together We Heal: Community Care Through Art, Activism, and History. Presentation topics and themed art could include:
- Art Activism
- Healing & Coalition Building
- Impact of Iconic Femme and/or Queer Music
- Reclamation through Fashion (i.e. hair, clothing, etc.)
- Ways of being and ways of activism (non-traditional ways to create change)
- History of Movements (past, present, future)
Please submit your proposal and/or artwork by Friday, September 20: ucdenver.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_aaDck2h8UJjq4iW
A committee will review all proposals and let you know if you have been selected to present at the summit.
The Women & Gender Equity in Leadership Summit is scheduled for Friday, October 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in St. Cajetans on the Auraria Campus. While this event is open to all members of the Auraria community, it will be centering the voices of the most impacted by gender disparities in order to improve outcomes for women, femme folks, queer, transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, neurodivergent, Black, Brown, and communities of color.
