The Student Government Association (SGA) is excited to announce the return of the SGA Engagement Scholarship program for the spring semester. This valuable funding opportunity supports student-led organizations, campus departments, and faculty/staff members in developing meaningful student engagement initiatives that align with CCD's mission and strategic plan.

 

The SGA Engagement Scholarship represents a significant opportunity for the CCD community to bring innovative student engagement ideas to life. Whether you're leading a student organization, working in a campus department, or serving as faculty/staff, we encourage you to consider applying for this funding opportunity.

Scholarship Overview:

Eligibility:

  • Student-led organizations/interest groups

  • CCD campus departments

  • Faculty/instructors/staff

     

Funding Available:

  • Up to $500 for materials for student-led events or organizations (e.g., robotics kits, supplies)

  • Up to $3,000 for operational costs (e.g., event programming, food, honorariums)

  • Up to $3,000 for conference-related expenses (e.g., registration, travel)

     

Requirements:

  • A completed application, including a description of how the request aligns with CCD’s mission and strategic plan.

  • A detailed budget and a proposal presentation to the Student Government Association (SGA) (e.g., speech, presentation, or demonstration).

     

Present at one of the Engagement Scholarship Proposal Presentation Days:

  • Feb. 14, 2025, 12:00-1:30 p.m.

  • March 14, 2025, 12:00-1:30 p.m.

  • April 11, 2025, 12:00-1:30 p.m.

  • May 9, 2025, 12:00-1:30 p.m.
