On April 4, 2023, the City and County of Denver will have one of the most consequential elections in our City’s history. Voters will be asked to elect a new Mayor as well as members of Denver City Council, the Clerk and Recorder, and City Auditor. It’s critical that every Denver voter is well-informed about key issues and the candidates running for each of these seats since they will chart the path for Denver’s future. With studies showing that nearly 60% of voters are undecided, now is the time to get educated on each of the candidates running and how they stack up with issues you care about!
The Downtown Denver Partnership, a non-partisan private non-profit working every day to ensure a vibrant, inclusive, and economically powerful center city, has just released a ballot guide to help educate voters. The Partnership does not take positions on candidates but has invited each candidate running for elected office to complete a candidate questionnaire and interview with a task force of private business leaders and community members. From over 50 interviews, the organization has created an easy-to-reference 2023 Municipal Election Guide.
The Partnership’s 2023 Municipal Election Ballot Guide and Candidate Profiles are a resource to help educate voters about the positions and values of each candidate as they relate to issues around leadership, public health and safety, homelessness, affordable housing, and investment in Downtown Denver.
